The Aaron's Sales and Lease Ownership (RNT) 2007 National Managers Meeting was the largest in company history. Over 2,000 associates and executives wrapped 3 days of training and celebrating the company's recent accomplishments. See RTO Online's photo gallery containing 484 photos from the event.

Highlighting the event was the surprise appearance of Super Bowl Champ Emmitt Smith as keynote speaker. Smith recounted his days with the Cowboys, his lifelong dream of winning a Super Bowl and his more recent wins on Dancing With The Stars.

Smith said that when he was seven years old, he told his father, "Someday I'm going to play professional football for the Dallas Cowboys." He learned a lesson of teamwork early. When Emmitt was nine years old, his coach told him that he could best serve his team by moving from quarterback to running back. "They handed me the ball and I've been running ever since."

Aaron's Chief Operating Officer Robin Loudermilk, son of company founder Charles Loudermilk, stood in for his father who was accepting a service award in Atlanta (see story). In his speech during the General Session, Robin Loudermilk said, "I can't stress enough how proud my father is, how proud I am, how proud everybody in this room should be, about where we are, where we've come from and where we're going." Loudermilk credited Aaron's success to it's store level managers. "The manager of the store is the key to success in this business," he said. "Without you, this [success] would never ever have happened. My hat's off to every single one of you."
