Founded in February 2005, YouTube is the leader in online video, and the premier destination to watch and share original videos worldwide. The company was acquired by Google in November 2006. Since that time, the YouTube interface has improved dramatically and the ability to stream high quality video has been enhanced. In addition, Google recently modified its search algorithm to include Web-2.0 (multimedia) results, reinforcing the benefit of utilizing social networking sites like YouTube as a distribution channel.

The YouTube Rent to Own Industry News channel is the latest in a long line of 'firsts' for RTO Online. The company conducted the rent-to-own industry's first podcast on June 21, 2002 with Dave Dorwart, CEO of dPi Teleconnect. "Actually, the word 'podcast' didn't exist then," recalled Griffaw. "It was an 11 minute phone interview recorded on a telephone answering machine then transferred to a computer via a microphone. Since then, we have continued to improve our formatting and delivery process to the point where we offer the highest quality streaming audio and video possible, adding a new dimension to RTO Online's constant flow of valuable information for the RTO community."
