ColorTyme
stores across the country recently participated in the company's
second annual War Room contest. The one day contest was a
collaboration between ColorTyme, Inc. and the company’s
Franchise Advisory Council (FAC) and served as the kick-off
event for a three-week-long Grand Slam contest.
Eighty-six ColorTyme stores
competed to produce the most deliveries in a single day. The War
Room rules were simple: For every five rental agreements signed
participating stores were called into the War Room at
ColorTyme’s headquarters in Plano, Texas, for a chance to win a
bevy of baseball-themed prizes and gif certificates.
Overall, 62 percent of participating stores achieved
double-digit deliveries. Franchisees Dave Timmons and Larry Hill
achieved spectacular results, averaging 98.75 agreements for
each of their four Oklahoma ColorTyme stores in McAlester,
Woodward, Elk City and Ada.
“We brought the Grand Slam Contest back by popular demand,” said
Amy Woods, ColorTyme director of marketing. “It’s an exciting
opportunity for our in-store teams to have an active, and fun,
role in bringing in new business. We level the playing field for
employees and store managers and they compete for great prizes.
We win, our employees win and the customer wins.”
For the contest, all ColorTyme stores were divided into five
leagues based on store volume. The three-week long competition
was divided into three phases: “Season Opener”, “Get on Base”,
and “Hit a Grand Slam,” the finale of the promotion. Store teams
competed for more than $20,000 in prizes over the three weeks.
Customers also got in on the baseball-themed action with scratch
and win coupons for free rental weeks.
