ColorTyme Racing's Johnny Chastain, Blondes Motorsports and Randall Twiggs Racing were honored Friday at Sugar Creel Raceway for winning the 2006 Late Model championship at the third mile oval.

For Johnny and the team, who won the Sugar Creek championship last year, it makes the second track championship in 2006. They clinched the Late Model Championship at Tri-County Race Track a three weeks ago.

"It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to win a championship and to win two in one season is special," said Johnny. "I would like to thank Randall Twiggs, Daryl Rose, the fans and everyone that is involved with the program for making it all possible."

Johnny and the team will be at Sugar Creek tonight, but Saturday night’s racing is still up in the air.

"We are looking at the SAS race at Lavonia, the Thunder race at Cleveland and a regular night at Tri-County. The rain in the area and in the forecast will determine where we end up racing tomorrow night," concluded Johnny.
