Rent-A-Center is
donating a computer, TV, sound system, computer games, sofa,
loveseats, tables, wall unit, and dining tables.
Representatives of Salvation Army Fuqua Boys & Girls Club in
Atlanta will host a dedication
ceremony today for the RAC Room being furnished by Rent-A-Center
(NASDAQ:RCII), the nation's largest Rent to Own company. The ceremony is set for 5:00pm tonight.
In a statement issued by Rent-A-Center, the company noted,
"Teens at this Boys & Girls Clubhouse will have a newly updated
positive place to hang out and call their own, thanks to a joint
venture with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Rent-A-Center,
Inc.'
The Fuqua Club's "RAC Room" will help attract more teens
updating and enhancing the teen center at the Club.
Rent-A-Center is donating a computer, TV, sound system, computer
games, sofa, loveseats, tables, wall unit, and dining tables. The
company has furnished 73 RAC Rooms since 2005 (see
story) awarding approximately $200,000 retail
value in merchandise yearly to 20 clubs.
Rent-A-Center operates 3,000 stores in the United States,
Puerto Rico and Canada and employs more than 18,700 coworkers.
