After requests from its over 800 single and multi-location users, RTO Pro, a leading provider of point-of-sale rental-purchase software, today announced two new features to its Windows-based program - Company-wide Inventory and Multiple Depreciation Methods.

Company-wide Inventory
Individual locations of multi-store companies running RTO Pro's Home Office program now have instant access to view company-wide inventory available at other stores. The company-wide inventory maintained at the Home Office is automatically updated over the internet once or multiple times per day by the stores. If a rental item is not in-stock for rent at one location, that store can check for availability for customers at other locations. High-speed internet service is recommended at both the Home Office and store.

Multiple Depreciation Methods
RTO Pro now allows stores to do depreciation for both Tax and Book accounting purposes at the store level. This enables stores to have two P&L's, one for the IRS with the required depreciation type and a second for internal purposes using other depreciation types…including Income Forecasting which is advantageous when reporting profitability to banks. The ability to run multiple depreciation methods can also be useful in states that require depreciation to be done different when reporting state income tax.
