As a result
of Amscot's Just-A-Dollar campaign, we can quite literally say
that tens of thousands of Floridians have come together to help
fund vital needs for our public schools.

Education Foundations
Each August, Amscot conducts a month-long campaign asking
individual customers if they would like to donate a dollar to
their local education foundation. The funds - matched with a
$10,000 contribution from Amscot - are then distributed
proportionately to education foundations in the 15 counties in
which Amscot conducts business.
"Education foundations in Florida typically seek to assist
public school districts by raising money for vital needs for
which no other funding source exists," said Mary Chance,
executive director of CFEF.
"We rely upon partners in the community to step forward to
help fund major needs in our public schools," Chance said. "We
are very proud of the program Amscot has put together by asking
customers to give just a single dollar. As a result of their
Just-A-Dollar campaign, we can quite literally say that tens of
thousands of Floridians have come together to help fund vital
needs for our public schools."
Fraser MacKechnie, Amscot Financial's chief operating officer
and a member of the Hillsborough Education Foundation, said,
"Our customers and our associates have embraced the
Just-A-Dollar campaign. Giving a dollar may be a small gesture
individually, but when you add it all up, it turns into
something very significant."
