| SIGNS4RETAIL recently announced the
debut of the company's new website, www.signs4retail.com. |
SIGNS4RETAIL announced a new easy-order, quick-ship custom
rent-to-own banner program. "Rent-to-own is a customer service industry, and
savvy rent-to-own dealers know it's their special products and
services that give them the edge over the competition," says Stephen Lenhart, President of
SIGNS4RETAIL.
"Do you give the first week's rent free, offer a $5 referral
reward, stock MSI's newest mini-notebook and Nintendo Wii's or
offer short-term big-screen specials for the SuperBowl? Custom
signs are an inexpensive way to make your unique services and
products known," Lenhart continues.
In the past, RTO dealers have been forced to work with small
and expensive local sign shops. Now SIGNS4RETAIL's 50,000 sq.ft.
manufacturing plant, offers new high-speed, large-format digital
printing technology at affordable custom prices. Dealers simply
call SIGNS4RETAIL with the banner size, colors and custom
message. SIGNS4RETAIL does all the work designing the banner for
maximum visibility and ships usually within 48 hours.
Lenhart offers dealers these common sense
custom banner tips:
1. Keep the message short. Whatever size banner you hang, Lenhart advises to keep the text under 5 words. The shorter the
message, the bigger the letters and the easier for customers to
read from far distances. Note: a banner is not the place to
worry about posting legal restrictions or disclaimers.
2. Choose bold fonts for maximum visibility. "Artsy fonts
often used by graphic designers to create a brand in printed
direct mail pieces, point-of-purchase displays and on price
tags, don't necessarily generate results on banners being read
by customers driving by at high speeds," says Lenhart. He
advises using big, bold, non-seriph fonts like Arial Black,
Franklin Gothic Heavy, Impact Bold and Cooper Black.
3. Use bright, high-contrast colors for maximum impact.
Whatever your store colors, Lenhart suggests you may have to add
or change some colors on banners for greater impact. For
example, if your colors are blue and white, put blue and white
letters on a yellow background .He recommends using primary,
high-contrast colors and the following color combinations in
order starting with the highest visibility: black and yellow;
black and fluorescent pink or orange; blue and yellow; purple or
green and yellow; red and white; red and yellow.
4. Choose the right banner type for the location. Traditional
banners hang easily on buildings, awnings, between poles, inside
the store from high ceilings and on the sides of trucks. If the
banner needs to go out by street where these things to hang from
may not be available, however, Lenhart recommends a pole banner,
(often called a Feather Dancer) that easily attaches to a stake
in the ground.
5. Hang your banner tight (but not too tight) for long life.
No banner is meant to last forever. But for long life, whether
hanging your banner against your store, against a truck or out
by the road, make sure the banner is tightly secured and most
importantly does not flap in the wind. The banner will last
years if bolted through each metal grommet to a hard substrate.
If that's not possible, Lenhart suggests that bungi-cords
attached to each grommet stretch in the wind and are better than
rope.
6. Hang pennants for low-cost excitement. When hung properly,
banners are static. Pennants, however, are designed specifically
to blow in the wind and create a festive purchasing mood.
According to Lenhart, pennants are super inexpensive and add
tremendous attention-getting power to your banner investment.
