In addition to educational sessions, RAMA will hold its annual Gala Awards Dinner Thursday, February 26.

The Retail Advertising and Marketing Association will welcome Life is good founder Bert Jacobs and lululemon athletica founder and chief product developer Chip Wilson to its annual Retail Advertising Conference at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, February 25-27, 2009. Both entrepreneurs will discuss their brands and the immense success they’ve had in growing their business.

Chip Wilson will present "Going Golden: lululemon athletica," on Wednesday, February 25 at 2:15 p.m. As the founder and chief product developer of lululemon athletica, Wilson will share his concepts behind building such a dynamic and successful brand. Wilson founded lululemon athletica in 1998 with the mission to provide people with components to live longer, healthier and more fun lives. As founder and Chief Product Developer of lululemon athletica, Wilson influences all areas of the company. Headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, lululemon manufactures, distributes, and sells its products in over 35 stores across North America and internationally. Wilson was named Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year for Innovation and Marketing by Ernst & Young in 2004.

Bert Jacobs will discuss how "Optimism Can Make Anything Possible" on Thursday, February 26 at 9:15 a.m. Jacobs, chief executive optimist and co-founder of Life is good apparel and accessories, will discuss branding and the importance of a positive attitude when it comes to doing business and developing fresh ideas. The colorful collection of apparel and accessories feature a familiar character the world has come to know as Jake. Life is good products are sold in nearly 5,000 stores nationwide and in 29 countries, and the company was named in 2007 by Advertising Age as one of 50 outstanding brands marketed today.

In addition to educational sessions, RAMA will hold its annual Gala Awards Dinner Thursday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m. where the winners of the coveted RACie awards will be announced. The RACie award – Retail Award for Creativity, innovation and excellence – is given to retailers who exhibit ingenuity and unique creativity throughout the year in advertising and marketing campaigns. Entries are judged by a distinguished panel of top retail advertising executives.

RAC 2008 will also feature special creative and CRM session tracks.
