"Basic email capability has been a feature of RTO Pro for a long
time, but the emailing of invoices and form letters was a recent
customer request which once started, actually only took a few
hours to complete. That's one of the benefits of developing in
Windows ," Ganus explained. "Development goes much faster than
the same project in older platforms like DOS or Unix and that
translates into another big benefit savings, which RTO Pro
pass directly to its end-users as lower costs."
According to Ganus, most software packages capture and store
customers' email addresses in the database, but do little with
them from within the system. RTO Pro is unique, however, in
offering many time-saving and cost-cutting ways to actually use
this valuable information:
-- Individual Emails From a customer's payment screen simply
click email, and RTO Pro allows the user to send a customized
email to that individual customer. It's a quick and affordable
way to build relationships through a short "Happy Birthday" or "How's
the game on your new TV?"
-- Emailing of Invoices For users that want to save postage
costs and go green, RTO Pro now allows the option to email
invoices. From the payment screen email individual invoices or
from the customer menu run invoices and email an entire batch at

-- Collections Emails -Filter delinquent accounts by the number
of days late, and email a differently-worded delinquency letter
to each group. Emailing is an inexpensive yet invaluable tool in
any account manager's toolbox.
-- Promotional Emails Run a list of all active customers or
filter current accounts by type, birth date or agreement date.
Email to the list any promotional letter designed to boost store
traffic and increase rentals choose from subjects like "$5 of
First Week's Rent", "$10 Referral Fees Paid", "Customer
Appreciation Day Sale" and more.
-- Transfer Emails Transferring inventory no longer involves
sending disks to the other store which often get lost or
damaged. In RTO Pro simply email the transfer file to the
receiving store and it automatically updates that stores
inventory.
