Ray Oribello was recently named vice president of sales and marketing for BriteLite Enterprises, manufacturer of a high-quality professional DJ kit that is making a successful debut in the RTO industry. Oribello was brought on board to manage the burgeoning demand for this niche product because of his experience in retail and rental purchase.

Oribello's background over the past 15 years has been in computer technology and sales, mainly to big box retailers. He was VP of sales in the consumer products division for Info USA, a publicly traded, $700 million company. And most recently, he was with Gamma Tech Computer Corporation, where he served for the past seven years as director of sales and marketing. His focus has been on retail, shop television and rental-purchase.

Oribello sees tremendous potential as BriteLite enters this new market. "If positioned correctly, the BriteLite DJ kit could be a very exciting product for specific channels like RTO," he says.

BriteLite first introduced its kit throughout Nationwide Southwest. And according to Oribello, it went over well at the Nationwide PrimeTime! show in August. "We had one of the loudest booths at the convention center," he quips. "We were smack in the middle of 250,000 square feet of exhibitors. And even with all the commotion of a busy convention, we got a lot of attention. We signed up many new dealers. It was a good launch."

Oribello adds that the BriteLite kit is a wonderful match for the RTO industry. "When I first heard about it, I had some doubts. But when you look at the RTO market and its demographic, this is the type of product that has a "wow" effect sitting out on the floor. It is a turnkey income generator for the customer who can use this equipment to earn revenue to pay for the rental. The dealer realizes great value, with an expected rental rate of $40/wk or $130-$150/month at 24 months."
